it has been a long weekend, and not in all that much of a good sense. i ended up working extremely late (or early… depends on
how you look at it) friday, saturday, and sunday. i am still a bit tired from it all. i definitely will not be
staying up as late tonite.
i have been looking into getting a kayak for a while. and finally decided i would take the plunge and get it this weekend.
sunday was the first chance i had to go out. i drove out to jordan lake, but the weather was quite windy, and the water
was very choppy. i decided to drop in at lochmere. i put the kayak in the water and slid in. not even thinking..
in a flash i had started to drift away from the dock, so i reached for my paddle, which was sitting on the dock. reaching,
as it turns out, was not the best thing for me to do!! i wasn’t even in the water for more than 2 minutes and i had capsized!!!
and, holy shit!!! that water was cold, nay, strike that, freezing! i had one heavy work boots, jeans, and a heavy top (under my
life jacket), all of which soaked up the freezing cold water like a sponge! but that wasn’t stopping me, dammit!! i paddled around
for an hour or so. i can’t wait until i get another chance to go out.
the camera i purchased off
of ebay.com finally arrived. it was shipped out on the 9th of
january. FROM BOONE, NC!!!!! get it? hell.. i think i could walk to boone in a day! and this camera floated around the postal
stystem for almost a month. oh i can’t wait to send out some letters so i can pay more for postage… it is so greatly deserved. bah!
ah well, time to go work out. then sleep.
i keep hearing people talking (or typing) about this show. i grabbed a copy of what is available so far of season II.
i’m on episode 3, and so far it seems like a pretty good show. i’ve added it to my “favorites” list on tv.com.
i’ll have to add it as a season pass on my tivo.

finding the right supplements can be a frickin nitemare. years ago, you could pick up a weightlifting magazine, and at least
feel the information being fed to you was somewhat truthful. things are totally different today. a lot of the magazine’s themselves
are owned by the same companies that are advertising the supplements. hell, some of the ads are written out as “scientific”
research papers spanning numerous pages. the ads and even the packaging of the supplements are quite impressive. they all
look so “official”
i do think a lot of supplements “work” because we want them to work.. and hey.. if that is the case.. then i guess they are doing their
job, no? the image to the right is a supplement that is semi-new… it makes a promise of:
as for the gains in lean mass.. i am not sure.. i’ve been more committed to stripping off as much
body fat as possible. i haven’t been eating or training for mass. i will be starting that shortly.
i can attest to perpetual pumps, faster recovery and increased strength gains. very good strength gains!
i’ve only been on this one for a few weeks, so i will continue to post my experience with it.
and like i said.. even if it is only a sugar pill… if it feels like it is working.. that works for me.
p.s. they could have made the bloody pills just a tad smaller!!! the are a pita

the weather has been a bit shit lately. the entire weekend was cold and rainy. we did make it out fishing, but the cold
rain drove us home pretty quickly. while talon and i were sitting there a large fish swam slowly by.. gaping his mouth
above the surface of the water. we would probably have had better luck if we had just dove in after it! aye, we caught
nothing!
i see a busy week ahead of me. it is only monday evening, yet it feels like mid-week already! kate and i are looking to have
a meeting with talon’s teacher some time this week, if all goes well. he keeps flipping yellows at school, more than he does
green. for now, if he floats a yellow, he spends the evening in his room. no toys. no games. it will stay this way until he
flips more green than yellow. *sigh*
i finally got around to watching the firefly
tv series.. it got off to a slow start for me, but picked up speed..
i didn’t realize it was only one season, i am on episode 13.. two more.. then i guess i’ll watch the movie serenity…
ah well. back to work for me.. i have a leg workout later this evening. i would rather do chest.. but i have to stick to my
schedule 
btw… i started eating veggie burgers.. hell they are only 100 calories per patty.. and to be honest.. they are
pretty damn good!
Back in the day, the bag used to say ‘equals 26 sticks’. It doesn’t say
it anymore. The bag seems smaller,. Who knows…. Could be I am just
bigger.

talon pulled out of the gutter at school. he didn’t get to have a sleepover at grandma’s house because of the
red flag he received earlier this week.
so we’ll be out fishing during the day!

i never believed that shit growing up. i mean, really.. how the hell does you spanking me or grounding
me hurt you?? besides maybe inconveniencing you a bit and putting off your plans for the day while i sit in my room?
of course, things have come full circle now, and i say this to talon. it does kill me to have to punish him sometimes
(not like he doesn’t deserve it sometimes).. it just sucks. and i am sure he doesn’t believe me when i say it to
him. he’s probably thinking “yeah, right?!.. suuuuuure” (he’s too young to call bullshit… i wouldn’t feel bad for
punishing him for that! ha!)
