still amazes me everytime i see it

while the sight of a snake devouring a rat is not a sight a lot of people enjoy seeing. but, i have to say, it totally amazes me everytime i see it. the fact the snake can unhinge it’s jaws, and stretch it’s body to accommodate the food. too cool!

    wow…i LOVE this show (LOST just started)

    yeah man, i can’t wait till my snakes eat prey that large. if i think it’s amazing now…i can only imagine.

    i’ve been facinated by my lizards hunting crickets a lot lately

    you should see (if you haven’t) a savanah monitor eat a mouse… very interesting how they go about it…

    in that case, i’ll have to get Amanda to take some pics of Fezzik eating, he’s a Savannah Monitor

    there is a 6 lb savanah up for adoption at avian and exotics :)

    if we had one less animal, i could do it. gotta get more space before i take on a monitor….think Jess wants a Tegu anyway. just something a little less mean. those monitors can be feisty!

    yeap, that is the one.. as far as i know they are the only vet (locally) that deals with herps..
