Right holiday, wrong card

As I am sure all of you US readers know, yesterday was Mother’s Day. And for once I had actually thought ahead and picked up all the appropriate cards, one for my mother, my grandmother, one for my mother from Talon, and one for my ex from Talon.

So yesterday morning Talon and I loaded up and headed over to my mother’s house to deliver the cards. I gave Talon his cards to sign. Signed the ones I needed to sign and sealed the envelopes. As I looked down at the card that was to be for Kate from Talon, I realized I made a small mistake.

The card on my lap showed a person with a mohawk, leather studded jacket, piercings, the whole nine… Inside, the card read something along the lines of …" it could have been worse". That card was supposed to go to my mother from me. Wh00ps. I had accidentally signed Kate’s card and packaged it up for my mother. Again, wh00ps. So Kate received an "it could have been worse" card from Talon. Ah well, it was funny.
