Talon left this evening for the UK for two weeks. Poor thing, he was just as upset as I was when it was time to say goodbye. Time stands
dead still when he’s gone. The two weeks seem to take forever to pass, although it’s not like I get anything more than normal done during
the time.

I miss him already. I hope these two weeks pass quickly.

Talon’s Tae Kwon Do Video

Because Talon will be out of the country for the next two weeks, he is going to miss the regular class graduation for
his next belt in TKD. He was given his test last nite for his orange belt. He was
so excited, it was priceless. The pictures and video definitely bring a smile to my face.

As I mentioned above, Talon will be out of the country for a bit. They leave today for 2 weeks. I miss him already,
and I haven’t even taken him to the airport yet. :(

Back in the ‘yak

So Talon heads out tomorrow for a 2-week trip to the UK with his mother. Last night he stayed over at my mother’s for a sleepover, and
man-o-man was I bored out of my mind. I don’t know what I will do with my time for the next 2 weeks!

Anyway, the weather was spot on yesterday morning so Talon and I spent a few hours kayaking at
Jordon Lake. It has been ages since we have
been able to get out on the ‘yak, mainly because of my back. Throwing that bit of plastic up on the truck is not back breaking, but one wrong turn and whammo!

Anyway, I should get back to work. Here are a few snaps.

Time to retire Talon’s Colors

And so, with the end of school, it is time to retire Talon’s Colors for the summer. The display made for a quick reference for the family to
see how Talon did in school for the day. I had it setup so that I can post the colors from my phone as soon as I get the results for the day.
Talon did enjoy seeing his progress posted on the web, as well.

Talon had his end of school picnic at Baileywick Park. All the kids had a blast. The boys especially liked some tongue tattoo’s that were
passed around. I am not exactly sure what it is, but I know it left them totally covered in color.

Attached is a zipfile with the images from the park. If you are interested in having any hi-res, unwatermakred copies, just leave a comment.

Adds a whole new level to the game, don’t you think?
