Up, Up and Away!
Sure it sounds cool for Superman and all, but not for our Raleigh gas prices.
According to AAA Carolinas, gas prices are expected to jump 15 to 20 cents
over the next few weeks. What the hell!? As if they aren’t high enough already? I just paid $80 to fill up my tank the other day.
Oil companies are posting record profits — no shit, right? I wonder why? And nobody is screaming foul? This is bullshit. But it’s the American way, no?
Big companies profit while the people pay. meh
I want to be simple
Well, not so much me.. more my lifestyle. I want to be able to relax and enjoy things. I would love to be able to follow the urge
to travel more. Hell, I would be happy just travelling around more on the weekends to start, but with the price of petrol lately,
who the hell can afford that? And to be honest, I wouldn’t even know where to begin making changes in my life to achieve a simpler
lifestyle.
Oh well, back to the grind.
Today is drywall day. I think the other day was supposed to be drywall day, too, but I never got around to it. meh. Today I
hope to get the sink-side wall completed in addition to adding a much needed support beam to a bit in the attic so I can properly
tack down a previously replaced piece of drywall. I am not crazy about going up in the attic. It’s too bloody hot.
Lately I have been watching OZ. No, the main character
is not Dorothy. It is an older prison show. Someone just posted the series to usenet. I am up to season 3. I will
probably have to wait a while to get the rest of the show, since the posts for season 4,5, and 6 are too old for me to retrieve.
Good show, though. You should watch it, Ecko from LOST is in it. And Michael too.
Today’s shows to watch are on VH1. The
Flavor of Love 2
and Celebrity Fit Club 4.
Yes, I realize they are sad, but entertaining, none the less.
It is hot, therefore I melt
Jaeger says … Not a damn thing. He’s a tortoise.. they don’t friggin talk. wtf!
Absolutely no motivation to write a damn thing lately. The computer screen makes me ill — not really, but I hate being in front of it lately.
The kitchen floor is done. Well, at least the subfloor is completed. Now I have to work on the drywall, which I ha-ate! Drywall is just a big
P.I.T.A.. I don’t want the fact that I loathe doing drywall to slow down my progress. Once the
drywall is completed, then it’s on to cabinet installation. I am NOT looking forward to this portion of the remodel. It would
be over $1,200 to get the cabinets installed by the makers. I guess we’ll see how it goes.
Oh well, back to the grind.
p.s. It is too effing hot outside. It’s almost like breathing through a wet wash-cloth.
