I highly recommend http://franklincovey.com/ The Franklin Planner system. I use the classic size. Get the tapes and listen to Stephen R Covey's First Things First and if you are a reader check out the book. First Things First is the 3rd habit from Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.

Getting Things Done by David Allen is getting a lot of press. There is even a firefox extension that integrates with gmail. You'll see GTD all over the place (literally search 'GTD'). I haven't read it and am hesitant to go to it because GTD is list based where First Things First is values based. Maybe an integration of the two?
