Brandy is doing better. The vet said that her x-rays show early signs of “hip changes”. The ball joints of her hips are not as round as they should be. They show signs of unevenness and wear. The vet has prescribed a pain-killer / anti-inflammatory for two weeks. After that I’ll take her back in for a re-evaluation.
This morning when I took her out of her run, I couldn’t even tell there had been a problem yesterday. I took her for a walk instead of letting her run around on her own. She fought her leash the whole time and did her best to run off on her own.
So all in all, she is doing much better. I will just have to keep an eye on her hips and see how things go.
Still… fingers crossed.
