Critter’s Krib

I was up at 3:30 am, thinking about what I had to get done today, when it occurred to me that I should do my grocery shopping now rather than later. What a great, freaking idea that was. No, seriously. I left the house at 4am. I was in and out of the store in 30 minutes. And I was back home with groceries put away by 4:45 am. It totally rocked.

I was the only one in the store besides the few employees. I bagged my own groceries, which I don’t mind due to my awesome bagging skills picked up at Publix when I was 15. People used to write letters to my manager about my awesomeness. No, seriously, they did.

I still have teh mad bagging skillz. Don’t be jealous.

Agreed. I think I might have to adjust my schedule to keep my shopping for the early hours of the morning.

  2. bill Said,

When I lived in Dallas, the stores were open 24/7 — and unlike the place I live now, they used those midnight hours to stock the store. Once or twice, I went in during that period, and it was as you said — in , grab, bag, out — with the added pleasure that it was a more relaxed feeling — the clerks seemed to be enjoyig themselves, they had decent music on the loudspeaker, and it was just an overall better experience.
