I have a ton of things to do around the house, and with the onset of Fall, there are leaves and acorns everywhere. Seriously, I don’t believe we have had an acorn outbreak this severe. The acorns cover the ground making walking a bit difficult. You can actually just slide down the side yard to the back. It’s crazy.
My nightmare
I was finally able to obtain a barrel (thanks Mom & Bill) for leave burning. Of course, in the process of getting the lid off the barrel, I slammed my hand with the hammer. Yeah! It hurt so good. It hurt so bad. Funny thing about the barrel was when the fire from inside reached the top of the barrel and ignited the remaining residue on the outside of the barrel. The whole thing shot up in flames. It was rather interesting to watch. It burned out quickly, but I was prepared with a fire extinguisher,
in case it got out of hand.
