I ripped it up today!
Posted by: | Comments
All thanks to the bobcat and landscape rake we rented
for the weekend. This thing is a beast and is definitely getting the job
done! We are using the landscape rake (that big bit up front) to flatten
out a few spots in the yard, and rake up the enormous amount of rocks we
have laying about. I was able to use the regular bucket attachment to
rip out a couple of stumps that were on the grinding list. There are
still a few that are too fresh to come out with the bobcat. Those will
have to wait until I rent the grinder. The bobcat is a pretty neat
little machine. It did scare the bajeezus out of me at one point. I was
going uphill without a bucket on the front. I hit a bump and the next
thing I knew I was tilted back and facing skyward. It was a bit
unnerving, but it quickly slammed back to the ground.
I let Talon (seated on my lap) drive it a bit in the
backyard. He really seemed to enjoy it as well
. I’d say I am about
halfway done with the yard. Still have tomorrow and Monday, so no rush
really.
And to close on a not so happy note. I just attempted
to login to my bank via the interweb, and was told /both/ my accounts
were disabled, and to call customer service, which of course doesn’t
open until Tuesday. Sucks.
Rocket fishing out back

Talon and I grabbed a few minutes between dinner and
bath time for a quick bit-o-fishing out in the back pond. The Rocket
fishing rod rules! It makes casting /so/ easy for Talon (me too!
ha!)
As for the frogs, omg, there are thousands of them.
Seriously! They carpet the grass, it’s a plague of frogs. It’s the end
of time, I tell ya!
Day 60 of P90X
Posted by: | CommentsDay 60 actually passed last week, but I only got around to snapping a few pictures yesterday. This last month has been pretty hectic, and I haven’t been able to work out as often as I would like due to travel, and just all around busyness. That said, I am still pleased with my results. I haven’t been spot on strict with my diet, but I have been eating moderately and healthy…and that seems to do the trick for me..
so without further ado…. I give you … me.

Call me a bully
Posted by: | CommentsTeachers stage fake gunman attack on sixth graders – CNN.com
Staff members of an elementary school staged a fictitious gun attack on students during a class trip, telling them it was not a drill as the children cried and hid under tables.
Because if my son went to that school, I would be kicking somebody’s ass!
I am /all/ for being prepared for any type of situation, but to include the children like that is absolutely ridiculous. Heads will roll.
Looking up old friends
Posted by: | CommentsLately, I have done little more than think about all my old friends back home. I would love to get in touch with a few of them, but I swear, there are a couple people I have known since I was a little kid, and I cannot for the life of me remember their last names. I do not even have an idea of where I should start to look for them. Most online searches /require/ a last name, at least.
I used to be able to always get in touch with one mate of mine by ringing his father’s work. I looked up the number the other day and ended up speaking to someone at Wachovia. I cannot find /anything/ related to his business on the net. All the phone numbers I have come up with are duds. Calling information (411) yields nothing either. It really is quite frustrating.
