P90X Day 60 (ish) pics
So… I was actually worried that my pics would look like crap, based on the way I have felt lately. I have had a great recovery since my hernia surgery, and have really only been in pain from it a couple of times during a workout. I actually surprised myself by taking it easy.
I know that my caloric intake is low, much too low for my liking. I know that I could have more mass if my intake was higher. I’m working on that.
That said… my weight has remained in the same areas, so I know I am definitely burning up fat and gaining a bit of muscle.. anyway…
Day 60:
for comparison…
Day 30:
yeah… I’m happy with the results.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again….
Rowr. yummy.

Great progress Critter! Wondering if you could provide some details on your P90X regimen .. like diet, routines, supplements, etc?
I went through a round and stuck to the program pretty well except for their diet plan .. now into another round and have swapped out plyo and kenpo with some of my own cardio. Still amazed watching Tony do 45-40-35-30lbs on the strip set bicep curls!

Hey, are you following the diet plan? I hope I can get those type of results in 60 days…I'm on week 3.

eh… I don't follow the diet to a T… actually… I don't really follow it at all… I do follow the basics of a good diet.. limit my carbs in the evening.. for the most part I just try and eat healthy… although, I probably don't get /enough/ calories… that is something I want to bump up in my next round…

dang, great results. Another great P90x story
Good stuff dude! Keep “Bringing It”
curious about how long you waited after your inguinal surgery before starting the p90x. i'm having surgery soon and want to continue the program as soon as possible so i don't waste the gains I've made. your input and advice is appreciated.
Prior to my surgery… which was on a Wednesday.. I was /actually/ planning on restarting the following Monday. That did not happen. IIRC, I took off a total of 3 weeks. I was nervous as hell the first time I did Abs, but I had no problems. I do recall wearing my ugly hernia belt the first time I worked out…
that's interesting. the lower ab workout will be the biggest strain I expect. what brand of belt did you use? how long before you stopped wearing it? doctor says six weeks before lifting more than 10 lbs – did you lift right away at full weight or taper it back a bit. did they do a mess type surgery on you or muscle weave… sorry for all the questions, but you're the only guy I found online with the exact same experience I'm about to have… thanks again.
This link has an image of the belt: http://critz.org/2008/11/23/wierd-al-sings-it-b... it's a softform or something… as for getting back to it.. I took it easy.. and built my way back up.. I had originally wanted to jump right back into the full swing of things, but figured.. if I had.. I would have re-injured myself… better to take it slow..
They did a mesh coverup for mine.. I might have been able to come back a bit quicker.. but I had my hernia surgery on a Wednesday.. and a Vasectomy on /that/ Friday..

that's great, thanks for your help… it's been four weeks since surgery (mesh type) and I'm counting the days to week 6 when the doctor says I can go back to 'normal' activity… i'm dying to get started again. was worried about putting on weight but have been taking glutamine to keep muscle and speed recovery and watching my diet and have pretty much stayed the same ( actually lost 5 pounds) I feel like i could get going again but will wait… lifed my sons today for the first time (60 lbs/each) and no problems…
