I guess it is time
Posted by: | Commentsfor an update, right? You should know, I always have the best of intentions. I want to keep you all updated as to the goings on of the Critter Clan, but.. a blogger, I am not. I hate to write. It’s so much easier to just post a picture or two, and maybe link to some hy-larious video *shrug*
anyway…
This past week Talon has his EOG’s (End of Grade testing) at school. He wasn’t too stressed about them, but apparently several of his friends were. Evidentially they were an absolute wreck and ball of nerves. I’ve been told that the tests are just as important for the teachers as it is the students, but the fact that the stress of it all is passed onto the kids.. really pisses me off. I understand passing on the importance of a test, but the the included stresses. Teachers should be confident in what they have been passing onto the children, right? Other than that.. Talon is doing well. He is excited that school is almost to an end. Acck!
Phoenix is also doing well. He’s just started his 3rd round of soccer, and still seems to be enjoying it. His thought processes are quite amazing and he’s talking up a storm and growing like a freakin’ weed
Me.. eh.. SSDD
P90X – Round 3 – Week 1
Posted by: | CommentsI know.. with this blog and my other one.. I suck at keeping it updated. I, by no means, consider myself a blogger. Don’t get me wrong.. I always have tons to say, and opinions about everything. I just don’t have the energy to transcribe it all from my head to my fingers.
Anyway…
My workout partner, Meghann, and I have been doing P90X+ for the past month or so, and while it gives us a great cardio workout, it’s just not giving us the pump and tightness of body that we felt with the regular P90X.
So we are scrapping P90X+ kind of.. If you look at the workout schedule on the main page of the site you will see that we are replacing some of the P90X cardio workouts with the P90X+ ones. I will (try) to keep you posted as to how it goes…
So back to week one. It was great to feel the soreness and tightness in my body that the regular weighted workouts bring. Even after our first workout, we were both ‘feeling it’ and very glad to be back. We were both very glad to be hitting Ab Ripper X again. And while Monday’s ab workout was not as bad as our very first Ab Ripper X session… we were seriously feeling it, but oh what a feeling.
I used to hate loathe cardio and working my abs, but after seeing the results that they bring.. they have quickly become my favorites.
I still have issues with Yoga X, but surprisingly, after our last Yoga X session.. we both kinda sorta enjoyed it almost. It probably has a lot to do with frame of mind.. and being able to relax and just do it.. something that is difficult for both of us, but we aren’t counting it out.. who knows.. maybe someday, we will actually look forward to it. *gag*
Insanity is due out sometime this summer. We are both excited about what we have seen so far, and are hoping to jump on that when we finish in August.
Oh yeah.. the first week of round 3 went well. ha! Still working on the diet, as always.. that’s the hardest part.
