Critter’s Krib

That can’t be right, can it? More often than not, I stare at the screen. There are a ton of things I would like to tell you. Maybe just to get it off my chest, but I never do. I stare at the screen for a few minutes, and then I just shut down the program.

Have I ever told you how much I hate the mornings? That’s not to say I am not a morning person. When I wake up, I am up. I enjoy my coffee, but it’s not always needed to get me going.

There is that one brief, moment, even before I open my eyes, where everything is peaceful and content. In a flash, though, the peace is gone and the reality of life slams into play.

and with that… I really can’t squeeze out anything else this morning.. I’ll leave you with a pictures of Talon and Phoenix… those always make me smile.

ugh. Phoenix is sick. He’s not miserable laying down all quiet sick. He’s more the … running around like mad with small break downs in between while his nose flows like a river sick.

I am pretty certain we will all have our share of it soon enough.

(I just realized I need to change is category from ‘Baby Phoenix’ to ‘Phoenix’… not really a baby anymore, eh?)

Remember to remove all stickers from a new iron before using it. This includes stickers that cover the bottom of the iron.

Well, not really. There is a ton of sanding left to be done in the kitchen. And with everyone asleep, no work will commence until the house is awake. Not literally of course, but I am sure you figured that out, right?

Talon has had a blast with the boys. They have all been going non-stop since Thursday. The kids spent almost all day yesterday out in the yard burning leaves. I believe we smoked out everyone in the neighborhood. After the kids were done burning leaves, I gave them a one-time demonstration of the potato gun. I only shot it off once since it’s so bloody loud. The damn thing sounds like a small RPG when it goes off.

It’s 5:00 AM, I have been up for over 3 hours. I should be sleeping, but somebody snores like there is no tomorrow.

Should be home in the morning. Am currently stuck in Pa-ho-nix (Phoenix). I am tired and just plain worn out.

• Stuck in the RDU Airport
• dealing with the possibility of not making my connecting flight.
• waiting for confirmation that my backup flight has been scheduled
• drinking Coronas
• feeling bad because Talon felt ill at school today.
• missing Talon and I haven’t even left yet
• carrying a pair of scissors in my carry-on luggage that they never found.
• watching my luggage so that no one tampers with them and removes said scissors to do bodily harm on anyone.
• a wee bit pissed.
• making people laugh with my new bluetooth retro phone thingamabob
• sitting off to the side, charging up my computer in an outlet next to the shoe-shine guy.
• watching people
• not all that excited to fly.
• hungry
• excited for next weeks trip to the UK
• excited for next weeks trip to the UK (that’s right, I said it twice)
• done for now.

That’s right, baby! My flight is booked and I will be headed back to the UK next month. It has been about 3 years since I have been back.

I cannot wait!

Today will end up being a very busy day. I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, yet.

• Finish coding project
• Start Jill’s new cage
• Bit of laundry
• Major clean of Talon’s room
• Clean old office out
• Clean downstairs
• Leaves and acorns?

Monday I smashed my nose into a window. This evening I was putting up some curtains when the curtain rod slipped. It was somehow caught between my pinky and the rest of my fingers. And from there it just rolled around and twisted the crap out of my finger.

So, now, my left pinky finger is swollen and discolored. I am going to crawl into bed and not get out for a while. It is too dangerous for me out here.

They must be after me. I am afraid. I am very afraid.

The pain in my face just became too unbearable a while ago. I was lucky enough to get a last minute appointment at Mann ENT.

The doctor says my septum is partially deviated. He also said the reason for the headaches today is that swelling tends to peak around the third day. I knew my septum was deviated, that has always been the case, but it is worse now. The nasal passage on the left side is pretty much closed off.

Oh, and the bottom of my nose is crooked now. There goes my modeling contracts.
